Itinerary for This Tour

Day 1

Your Kruger safari adventure begins with a flight from Cape Town International Airport to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA). Upon arrival, you will meet a Mmilo tour guide and be transferred to Pestana Kruger Lodge, ideally located on the banks of the Crocodile River—a prime wildlife hotspot known for its exceptional game-viewing opportunities.

The southern region of Kruger National Park is the most wildlife-rich area, home to an astonishing diversity of species, including 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds, and 147 mammals. Recognised as one of Africa’s premier safari destinations, Kruger offers an unmatched wildlife experience.

Later this afternoon, set out on your first open-vehicle game drive into Kruger National Park, led by an expert Kruger field guide. As the bush comes alive in the golden light of late afternoon, you’ll have the chance to encounter Africa’s Big Five and other iconic wildlife.

Return to the lodge in the evening and enjoy a delicious dinner at the restaurant, reflecting on your first day in the wild.

Day 2

Wake up before dawn for an early morning game drive, one of the most rewarding times to be in the bush. As the park awakens, you’ll have the chance to spot predators on the move and witness the bush come alive. With lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo roaming this Big Five territory, every game drive promises thrilling encounters.

After your morning safari, return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast, then spend the rest of the day at leisure. Relax by the pool, take in the breathtaking views from your Premium River View Room, or unwind on the restaurant deck overlooking the Crocodile River. Lunch is available at Pestana Kruger Lodge’s scenic deck (at your own cost), where you may spot elephants, hippos, and crocodiles along the riverbank.

In the late afternoon, set out on a sunset safari, an ideal time for spotting nocturnal wildlife as the bush transitions from day to night. After the game drive, return to the lodge for dinner under the African sky.

Day 3

An early morning wake-up marks the start of your final safari experience. Depart on an open-vehicle game drive led by an experienced Kruger safari guide, who will interpret the bush and provide insight into animal behaviours. The early morning hours offer optimal chances to spot big cats, as they are most active before retreating to the shade for the day. Look for elephants, giraffes, hippos, cape buffalo, crocodiles, and various antelope species along the way.

After the morning safari, return to the lodge for breakfast before returning to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) for your return flight to Cape Town.

Optional Experience: Swap the morning game drive for an intimate guided bush walk for an additional cost of ZAR 300.00 per person. This unique experience offers a closer connection to the African wilderness, focusing on tracks, signs, and smaller wildlife encounters.

End your journey with unforgettable memories of Kruger’s untamed beauty!
