Itinerary for This Tour

Day 1

Your safari adventure begins with a shared minibus shuttle from Johannesburg, departing at 7:00 AM (private transfer available on request). Travel through South Africa’s scenic lowlands, descending 1,500 meters toward Kruger National Park. Upon arrival in Nelspruit, you will meet your Mmilo Tours guide and be transferred to Mjejane River Lodge, arriving in time for lunch. If you are from Cape Town, you will meet at Nelspruit KMIA Airport, where flight recommendations are available. We also offer a discount on the shuttle fare from Johannesburg.

Mjejane offers a world-class wildlife experience, ranking among the best in Africa. This afternoon, embark on your first 3-hour open safari vehicle game drive within the Mjejane Private Game Reserve. Led by an expert wildlife ranger, you’ll explore the reserve in search of Africa’s Big Five and other iconic species.

After an exhilarating game drive, return to the lodge for a delicious dinner. Accommodation is in a luxury Crocodile River-facing room, with standard room options available on request.

Day 2

Wake up to the sounds of the African bush, and after a refreshing morning coffee, set off on a 3-hour sunrise safari in Mjejane Private Game Reserve. Witness the bush come to life as the morning sun casts golden light over the landscape. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast.

The Greater Kruger region is home to an astonishing diversity of wildlife, including 336 tree species, 49 fish species, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds, and 147 mammals. This renowned ecosystem offers a safari experience that rivals the best in Africa.

After lunch and some relaxation, we set out again for a late afternoon safari, continuing into the evening with spotlights to track elusive nocturnal animals. After sunset, return to the lodge for a memorable dinner under the African sky, where you can listen to the grunting of hippos in the river and the distant calls of nighttime wildlife.

Day 3

Enjoy a final morning safari drive in Mjejane Private Reserve, soaking in the last moments of your African wilderness adventure. After breakfast, a Mmilo Tours representative will transfer you to Nelspruit for the shared shuttle back to Johannesburg. Alternatively, you may choose a transfer to Nelspruit Airport (MQP) for an onward flight to Cape Town, Victoria Falls, or Vilanculos in Mozambique.
