On your river-borne Chobe safari, your boat will be skillfully manoeuvred by your trusty game ranger around the delightful spectacle of herds of elephants at play, noisily romping and snorkeling, while hippos and crocodiles sunbathe on sandbanks right next to them. If you keep a sharp eye open, you are likely to see other wildlife on the riverbank looking on. Perhaps there will be an elusive cheetah or even a lion, or a member of Chobe National Park’s widely varied buck species, such as the majestic Kudu, and other animals that you are also likely to see on your land-based safari drives in greater numbers.

Itinerary for This Tour

Day 1

After a leisurely breakfast at your Victoria Falls Hotel your driver will collect you and take you to the Kazungula Border Post, cross over the Chobe River into Botswana to the Chobe Game Lodge; one of the most exclusive lodges along the river. You shall arrive in time to have lunch, check-in, and go for an afternoon/evening wildlife activity; perhaps on the river or in an open safari vehicle in the Chobe Game Reserve.

Accommodation Chobe Game Lodge, Lunch, Dinner, Bed and Breakfast and two game activities per day

Day 2

Another day in this idyllic wildlife area at its top location with activities supplied by the lodge; Morning boat safari, Evening game drive.

During the middle of the day you can enjoy views from the lodge decks overlooking the river, there is a spa,  a large swimming pool, and one of the local staff is available to share insights into how Chobe Game Lodge adds to local peoples lives with about 20 projects and initiatives ongoing.

Day 3

Morning game drive/ boat safari ( if your departure time today allows) then after breakfast depart for a flight from one of the three airports serving the region or transfer back to your Victoria Falls based hotel. You can fly back to Johannesburg on an earlier or later flight or direct through to Cape Town. Depending on your choice of flight (we can advise of course) you might have to miss the morning activity and settle for viewing some animals in the river as you have your breakfast on the dining deck overlooking the river.

  • 2 nights accommodation at Chobe Game Lodge, Lunch, Dinner, Bed and Breakfast,
  • 2 game activities at Chobe Game Lodge per night of stay, either safari drive or river boat safari,
  • Selected local beverages and South African House wines and beers, whilst at Chobe Game Lodge, excluding Premium Brands.
  • Transfer from Victoria Falls based hotel or Airport over the Kazungula Border, then transfer to Chobe Game Lodge, and return.

Exclusions:

  • Local and international flights.
  • Accommodation before or after this tour.
  • All passport and Visa fees excluded.
  • Park Fees at USD15 per person per day is excluded and is payable at the lodge,
  • Travel and Medical Insurance excluded. We urge you to avail of this.
  • All cost of a personal nature, e.g. laundry, telephones excluded
  • All Optional Activities excluded
