* We recommend visiting Victoria Falls between the months of May and October. Although many do visit the Falls successfully and enjoyably outside this season, high or very low river levels and heat and humidity can sometimes prevent full enjoyment of the falls.

 Overview

Experience the magic of  “the smoke that thunders”, and you have the makings of a lifetime holiday.

Victoria Falls is one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world. The Local people call it “Mosi-oa-Tunya”, the smoke that thunders and is a ‘bucket-list’ tour in southern Africa on the Zambezi River at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Watch that picture postcard rainbow curve its way over Victoria Falls’ gigantic, misty clouds of spray and perhaps get drenched as it dumps its torrents into the lower reaches of the mighty Zambezi River. Cruise on the Zambezi, past wallowing hippos and crocodiles. This tour is more than just a holiday. Live your dream when you embark on this unforgettable, heart-stopping adventure of one of Africa’s natural wonders; Victoria Falls Zimbabwe where you get the best views of the Falls from.

Itinerary for This Tour

Day 1

You will be met at Victoria Falls International Airport by a Mmilo Tours representative who will take you to your hotel. After you have checked in and freshened up, our local guide will take you for your first guided tour of Falls. This will familiarise you with your surroundings as well.

Your stay in Victoria Falls will be at The Cresta Sprayview Hotel about 1.4 km from the Falls and within easy walking distance of the centre of Victoria Falls village which has lots of restaurants, a huge craft market, and a wonderful holiday atmosphere.  Locals are friendly and helpful.

Accommodation: Cresta Sprayview Hotel – Bed and Breakfast. (other meals at restaurants of your choice and cost around the village)

Day 2

Perhaps you might like to take a self-guided walk down to the falls before breakfast as you know the way now and the area is very safe. The falls take on different appearances with the various light conditions during the day. The famous falls rainbow appears with different sun angles and in the morning the mist when backlit creates a softer atmospheric view.

After breakfast, we suggest going for the white-water rafting expedition (optional extra).

This is an experience you will remember forever. The water conditions “improve” that is the turbulence of the rapids increases as the water level drops. The raft rider guides are very experienced and know how to get you through this unscathed but exhilarated. The rafting is in the Batoka Gorge beneath its towering walls below the falls. It is truly an impressive sight. Lunch is served by the rafting staff halfway.

Alternative optional activities available are a visit to the Elephant Sanctuary or taking a helicopter flip over the falls, and a visit to the Devil’s Pool. The Devil’s Pools is accessible only when the river reaches lower water levels in Sept-Nov.

Later this evening you will go for the beautiful Zambezi River sunset Dinner cruise passing islands in the river and along the shore. You will often view elephants and hippos swimming to and from the islands and the many antelopes on the river’s edge while you dine.

Accommodation: Accommodation: Cresta Sprayview Hotel – Bed and Breakfast. (other meals at restaurants of your choice around the village) – Zambezi Dinner Cruise included

Day 3

After ( or before) an early breakfast, you can go for one last tour of the falls by your own arrangement. Your driver will then meet you in the lobby area of the Cresta Sprayview Hotel at 11:00 am (or earlier) for your transfer back to the airport.

End of Tour.
