Mjejane River Lodge is an exclusive lodge situated within the Mjejane Game Reserve – a private Big 5 Game Reserve incorporated into the Kruger National Park. Situated on the banks of the Crocodile River and surrounded by the African bush, it is here that you are assured of a memorable wildlife experience. Animals of the Kruger wander freely and can often be viewed close up as you dine or relax on your veranda. Safari drives are in the Mjejane Reserve and also longer drives deep into the Kruger.

Mjejane River Lodge is perched on the banks of the Crocodile River and surrounded by thousands of hectares of the raw African wilderness, it is here that the paths of predators and prey cross. It is here that you are assured of a breathtaking wildlife experience.

Itinerary for This Tour

Day 1

Mjejane River Lodge – Crocodile River – Kruger National Park

Depart before 7:00am 0n the shuttle service to Nelspruit a large town near the Kruger National Park The 4 to 5 hour drive follows the road from the cool high plateau and descends over 1500 metres to the warm subtropical lowlands where the Kruger Park is situated. Our driver will collect you from the shuttle bus depot in Nelspruit and take you for the final hours journey.
We reach Mjejane River Lodge which on the banks of the Crocodile River sometime between 1-2.00pm.
The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa.
After lunch and some relaxed time in your room along the river banks, you will embark on your first open safari vehicle game drive (sunset drive, 3 to 4 hours) in the Mjejane Reserve. You will be accompanied by a skilled ranger and tracker, expert at finding Africa’s “Big 5” and other animals. On your return to the lodge, dinner will be enjoyed before retiring to your bush suite for a well-deserved rest.

Day 2

On Safari – Kruger National Park and Mjejane Game Reserve

An early wake-up call signals another exciting day in Africa and after morning coffee, you head out into the bush on a 3 hour safari into the Mjejane Reserve part of the Greater Kruger National Park.

Return for breakfast then relax for the midday with lunch served on the viewing deck.

Enjoy pool.
At around 3.30pm , you will gather again with the other guests for the sunset safari followed by dinner.
Take some time before retiring to admire the African sky at night and listen to the sounds of the wilderness around you.

Day 3

End of Safari

After your dawn safari drive on the Mjejane reserve and breakfast, Mmilo Tours guide will collect you to transfer you back to Johannesburg.
You have the option of being transferred to the airport (MQP) in Nelspruit for an onward flight to your next destination. Flights from here go to Cape Town, Victoria Falls and Vilanculos in Mozambique.
