Itinerary for This Tour

Day 1

Upon arrival at Victoria Falls (flight included), you are warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel, the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. Later in the afternoon, embark on a sunset dinner cruise along the mighty Zambezi River. Onboard, you’re welcomed with a refreshing towel and a chilled flute of sparkling wine. As you relax on the vessel’s top deck, snacks and drinks are served while the sun sets spectacularly over the Zambezi. After sunset, dinner featuring delicious dishes made from locally sourced, fresh ingredients is served. The boat glides quietly under the stars, creating an atmosphere of serenity and romance. Dinner and selected drinks onboard are included. Afterward, return to your hotel.

Day 2

This morning, you are collected for a guided tour of the magnificent Victoria Falls. No photograph can fully capture its majesty or prepare you for your first sight of the Falls. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, you’ll walk through the rainforest, discovering fascinating facts about the Falls as well as the region’s flora, fauna, birds, and wildlife. Standing at the edge of the Falls and feeling its powerful spray is an unforgettable experience. Later in the afternoon, you’re collected for an evening of dining and entertainment at the Victoria Falls Boma Dinner and Drum Show, where appetising local cuisine is paired with energetic dance performances, drumming and music on mirimba and other ethnic instruments. Return to your hotel after dinner.

Day 3

After breakfast, transfer from your hotel to Victoria Falls Airport for your included flight to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. Upon arrival, you’re met and driven to Pestana Kruger Lodge via the Malelane gate to Kruger Park, where indemnity forms for your open vehicle game drives are collected.
Pestana Kruger Lodge is beautifully situated along the Crocodile River, attracting abundant wildlife. You’ll stay in Premium Crocodile River-facing rooms with stunning views of the river and Kruger Park. Dinner tonight is at the lodge’s restaurant.

Day 4

An early morning wake-up call signals the start of your safari adventure. Your safari guide collects you at Pestana Lodge for your open-vehicle game drive in Big Five territory, home to lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, buffalos, and diverse wildlife. Kruger boasts an extraordinary array of species: 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds, and 147 mammals, ensuring an unforgettable wildlife experience. Return to Pestana for a buffet breakfast overlooking the Crocodile River. Enjoy leisure time before your afternoon safari, which continues after sunset, seeking nocturnal animals. Dinner is served at Pestana Lodge.

Day 5

Following breakfast, depart for a full-day tour of the stunning Panorama Route, one of South Africa’s most scenic and popular regions. Travel through the northern Drakensberg mountains, where the inland plateau dramatically gives way to magnificent views over the Lowveld plains. Visit landmarks such as the Three Rondavels viewpoint overlooking the Blyde River Canyon—the world’s third-deepest canyon—Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Lisbon Falls, Pinnacle Rock, Graskop Gorge Lift and God’s Window. A light lunch is included. Return to Pestana Kruger Lodge for dinner.

Day 6

Rise early for another thrilling morning safari in Kruger’s Big Five territory. Following breakfast at Pestana Lodge, transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for your included flight to Cape Town. Upon arrival, you’re met and driven to the Cape Milner Hotel, ideally located in Tamboerskloof at the foot of Table Mountain. Enjoy the evening at leisure, with many nearby restaurants available for dinner.

One activity all visitors to Cape Town want to achieve is to ascend Table Mountain by the cableway for the amazing and exhilarating views from the flat top. This is weather dependant and our guide will take care to help you find a time slot to do this. It could happen on any of the following days. But first preference would be tomorrow.

Day 7

After breakfast, your guide collects you for a day tour exploring Cape Town’s historical sites, including the Company Gardens, Parliament, City Hall, and Castle of Good Hope. Visit the culturally vibrant Bo-Kaap district, then take the aerial cableway to the summit of Table Mountain (weather permitting; alternatively, visit Signal Hill). The day ends at Blouberg Beach, offering spectacular views of Table Mountain and the city. A light lunch is included. Afterward, return to your hotel for leisure time.

Day 8

After breakfast, your guide collects you for a day exploring the scenic Cape Peninsula. Travel along the dramatic Atlantic coast via Chapman’s Peak Drive, with breathtaking views from Sentinel Mountain, to Cape Point, traditionally recognized as the meeting place of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Understand why explorers called it “the most beautiful Cape” and the “Cape of Storms.” Visit Boulders Beach to view rare African Penguins, and take a boat cruise from Hout Bay harbour to Duiker Island’s Seal Colony. A light lunch is included. Return to your hotel afterward for an evening at leisure.

Day 9

You have a leisurely day to explore Cape Town at your own pace. Wander along the scenic harbour, browse charming local shops, or discover unique artisanal crafts at the Watershed. Be sure to visit the *Two Oceans Aquarium, where you’ll gain fascinating insights into the marine life found in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.

Also in town you can learn about Cape Towns history. Museums like the Slave Lodge, District Six Museum and The Castle of Good Hope will reveal its colonial and apartheid past.

*Alternatively, choose an optional excursion to the beautiful Cape Winelands, where you can explore renowned wine estates and sample world-class wines.

*Between July and November, enjoy whale-watching by land or boat in Hermanus, known as one of the world’s best whale-watching destinations. September, October, and November offer near-guaranteed whale sightings, making it an unforgettable experience.

*Optional activities are not included in the tour price. Please enquire at the time of booking.

Day 10

Following breakfast, enjoy your morning at leisure. Later, you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to Cape Town International Airport for your onward flight.
South Africa has warmly welcomed you and enjoyed having you as guests. We hope you’ve had an adventurous and memorable journey with Mmilo Tours and the wonderful people of this country. As we say, “There is a bug in Africa called the African Bug — Don’t let it bite you, as there is no cure for the African malady. Once bitten, you will not be able to get Africa out of your system. You will return to our shores time and time again.”

Ngiyabonga and Hamba Kahle – Thank you and go well.
