Shishangeni
The look and feel at Shishangeni lodge is pure Africa. From the ornate wood carvings on the walls, and dark, hand-carved furniture, the patterned rugs on the floor and the wooden doors, the textures and warm colours of Africa are skillfully and tastefully blended to produce sophisticated interiors.
Below the wooden boardwalk connecting the rooms to the lounge, restaurant, and reception area, tiny bushbuck wander around freely.  Mischievous Vervet monkeys swing in and out of trees in full view of the breakfast deck and zebra and giraffe can be seen grazing in the distance, as guests enjoy their morning shower. But, this is Big 5 country and not far off lions are on the hunt until they, themselves, have to retreat when pursued by a huge herd of menacing buffalo.
The game rangers doggedly and skillfully track down lions in their prides, buffalo, rhino, elephant and the solitary leopard. After every exciting safari game drive, you will find Shishangeni staff waiting to welcome you back, as enthusiastically as when you first arrived.
