Pilanesberg Sunrise Safari Day Trip
Enjoy a full-day safari from Johannesburg or Pretoria to Pilanesberg Game Reserve, where Africa’s Big Five roam free. You’ll be picked up from your address or the airport and driven to the reserve for an immersive 6-hour safari experience.
The tour is formatted differently depending on group size. Usually too of course our trip is private, only known groups or family members involved and pick up an drop back are to the same location ( although drop off point does not have to be the same as pick up point i.e drop off point might be the airport or another location in the Pretoria/Joburg region.
For 1-3 people we use big SUV’s with large windows and wide panoramic sunroofs which can all be opened at the same time giving you the same connection to the environment as an open vehicle but with much more comfort and maneuverability. Families of 4 and even 5 with small children can use the SUV easily too it must be said.
From 3 normal-sized adults upwards we use various sized minibuses and coaches up to 44 seaters and the tour includes a 3-hour open safari vehicle drive, offering up-close encounters with iconic wildlife. You’ll also spend 2 hours visiting hides at various dams and safe spots, where you can observe animals in their natural habitat and coming to drink or to prey on same . A 1-hour lunch break at a lodge’s open terrace overlooking a waterhole allows one to relax while watching wildlife. Time can be adjusted to suit your schedule, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable safari experience.
